Boy Scouts

You are here: Extracurricular Activities > Scouting > Boy Scouts

Cub Scouts, a program offered for first through fifth-grade boys, will involve your boy in a group of boys his own age where he can earn status and recognition. There are monthly pack and den meetings.

Cub Scouts:

  • positively influences character development and encourages spiritual growth
  • encourages good sportsmanship and pride
  • fosters a sense of personal achievement
  • provides fun and exciting new things to do, such as:
    • Rocket Launch
    • Rain Gutter Regatta
    • Pine Derby Race
    • Field Trips and Guest Speakers

Cub Scouts teaches your child to do his best and to be helpful to others and to prepare them for Boy Scouts. Your child will have the opportunity to participate in community service projects such as the Scout Food Drive and singing Christmas carols at an area nursing home.
