In addition to the basic curriculum subject areas of religion, math, science, social studies, reading, English, spelling, and phonics; our school employs specialist teachers in the areas of physical education, music, art, and Spanish. The maximum class size is 25 students. All of the teachers at St. Dominic School are fully certified and licensed by the state of Wisconsin. Teachers provide a tailored academic program to meet the needs of their students by combining recent developments in the education field along with established, proven methods. Simply put, St. Dominic School has the flexibility to use what works! Technology is an integral part of the curriculum with computer pods and Internet hook-up in all classrooms. The computers are used throughout the day in all classrooms to enhance curriculum concepts and, at the same time, develop computer literacy skills. St. Dominic School has a proven and measurable academic record. Students consistently score in the top 15% on the Standardized Iowa Test of Basic Skills. Testing occurs in grades 3, 5, and 7. |
