Drug and Alcohol Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.)
You are here: Faculty & Curriculum > Class Information > Grade 5
The fifth grade students of St. Dominic School recently completed coursework in the D.A.R.E. program. Sheboygan police officer, Lyle VanderWyst, spent many hours with these students. The end of the program was marked with a graduation ceremony attended by some City of Sheboygan dignitaries. The students worked hard and learned a lot about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse, as well as how to resist the pressures to use these dangerous substances. Each student wrote an essay about what they learned and some were read at the graduation.
