Mrs. Annelin is the middle school sixth-grade homeroom teacher. She has the responsibility of teaching middle school math and science.

Mrs. Annelin came to St. Dominic in 1997. Mrs. Annelin teaches seventh and eighth grade math and eighth grade science.

Sarah AnnelinThe science philosophy is one of balance - textbook led with supplementary hands-on experimentation. The scientific method and proper lab techniques are emphasized. Each year during Catholic Schools Week, a science fair is held.

The math program maintains the tradition Addison/Wesley approach until sixth grade. The "Chicago" math series is used in the seventh and eighth grades to provide a smooth transition to our public high schools, which use the "Chicago" series. The goal is to provide every eighth grade student with an algebra experience, which provides the possibility of enrolling in geometry in ninth grade. Our students participate in approximately three math competitions each school year.

If you would like to get in touch with Mrs. Annelin, call the school at 452-8747 or e-mail her.
