Jean Vogel¡Hola! My name is Jean Vogel. I have the privilege of interacting with the students of St. Dominic's as they proceed through sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. I love teaching students at the junior high level. It is especially rewarding to witness their growth and accomplishments from year to year.

I teach health. In health class, students learn about the importance of self-care and maintaining a balanced lifestyle. We talk about the many factors that can jeopardize our mental, social, and physical health. We set positive living goals in each of these areas.

I also teach Spanish, and I love the subject. Together, we explore aspects of various cultures and increase our understanding of our own roles in the world. We look at the nitty gritty aspects of language: idiomatic expressions, sentence structure, verb tense, number and gender agreement, etc. Students have ample opportunities to practice the language during daily conversations, games, skits, group story-telling, and impromptu vignettes. I am always amazed by the creative ways that students approach language learning.

I am so happy to be a part of St. Dominic School. This community both nurtures and challenges children to become their best not only as students but also as people.

If you have any questions for me, you can contact the school directly or e-mail me.
