Sandy HickmannMy name is Sandy Hickmann and I have been at St. Dominic School since 1993. I am the Learning Center Coordinator at St. Dominic School. The Learning Center is a fun and challenging place to learn and try new things that reinforce the skills that are being taught in the classroom.

I work with children from Kindergarten through Grade 5 in small groups. I help them work on their math and reading curriculum or anything the classroom teacher would like to have reinforced. I try to incorporate the skills they are learning into challenging projects, projects where they have to apply the skills they have been learning in their classrooms.

Since the Learning Center can be a very busy place, I am fortunate to have the help of a crew of parent and grandparent volunteers. The children truly enjoy having a variety of people to work with. Each one brings a little something different to our classroom. More importantly, many children are able to get the individualized help they may need.

I feel truly blessed to be a part of the loving and supportive St. Dominic School family and that I am able to help so many children, including my own, learn and succeed.

If you would like to get in touch with me, you can call the school at 452-8747 or e-mail me.
