Student Council

The student council is made up of students in grades 4-8. There are two representatives from each class. The student council officers are selected in an election that takes place at the end of September. Officers can be from grades 6-8. The president must be an eighth grader. The seventh grade teacher, Chris Wright, acts as advisor for the council.

The student council meets each Wednesday during lunch to plan special events, explore extracurricular ideas, and help develop student leadership skills. Student council organizes many activities such as dances, holiday gifts for shut-ins, bake sales and projects to make the school better. They also plan a lot of fun events such as penny wars, Halloween pumpkin contest, talent shows and bingo.
